Description

Baskur is one of the decorative interior bands of a yurt. It is wrapped around the junction of the roof poles (uyk) and the wall lattice (kerege) to protect the felt covering (tuirlyk) from wear and enhance the aesthetic of the yurt’s interior. It is traditionally woven from colorful threads and adorned with traditional patterns.
