Balaqbaw

Description

Balaqbau is a piece of equipment used for birds of prey. It is made of leather and is a strap resembling a bracelet, attached to the bird’s leg (tarsus area). It is used in handling and training the bird. The part that wraps around the bird’s leg is 5.5 cm wide and 13 cm long. Brass rings are fixed at both ends, and a leather strap is threaded through these rings.
