Description
A factory-produced kerosene lamp made of metal and glass. The flame is enclosed within a transparent, rounded glass chimney that protects it from wind and other external influences. The upper part of the lamp is fitted with a metal handle or hanging hook for carrying and suspension. Kerosene served as the fuel source. Such lamps were commonly used in rural households during the 20th century to illuminate living spaces and farm buildings. The construction allowed the lamp to be suspended from a wall or ceiling. The main structural components and protective glass chimney are preserved in good condition.
