Description
The badge is made of metal and decorated with coloured enamel. The upper section features a shaped red ribbon bearing the raised inscription «ОТЛИЧНИК СОЦИАЛИСТИЧЕСКОГО СОРЕВНОВАНИЯ» (“Excellence in Socialist Competition”). The central composition, set against a blue enamel background, depicts a map marked with the abbreviation «СССР», a geological drilling tower and geological hammers. The white border bears the inscription «МИНИСТЕРСТВО ГЕОЛОГИИ И ОХРАНЫ НЕДР». The badge belonged to R. Mamaev and represents a departmental award associated with achievements in the Soviet geological sector.
