Description

Conglomerate. A sedimentary rock consisting of rounded fragments of gravel, small stone pieces, and aleurolitic material, cemented by a natural cementing substance. It is characterized by a clastic structure and dense composition. The composition and texture features of the conglomerate reflect the conditions of sediment accumulation and geological processes that occurred during the Carboniferous period.
