Fluorite (CaF₂). Light red mineral with well-developed crystals and a glassy luster. Transparent, characterized by a smooth and shiny fracture. Fluorite is an important flux raw material in metallurgy for the production of iron and aluminum. It is also used in the optical industry and serves as a source for the production of fluorine-containing compounds and acids.
