Description

Medal Description: On the obverse, the center features a relief image of the Order of Victory. The commemorative years “1945-2005” are inscribed at the bottom of the disk. On the reverse of the medal, the center bears the inscription: “60 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945,” framed at the bottom and sides by laurel branches.The medal is made of tombac (a copper-zinc alloy) and has the shape of a perfect circle with a diameter of 32 mm. The medal is attached to a pentagonal mount covered with a red silk moiré ribbon 24 mm wide. The edges of the ribbon feature alternating black and orange stripes (the colors of the Ribbon of Saint George): three black and two orange stripes, each 1 mm wide.
