Description

A wide-mouthed red-clay vessel. The vessel was made using a wheel-forming technique. The exterior and partially the interior surface are covered with red slip; the exterior surface has been smoothed and burnished. The rim is straight, with a low neck; the edges are curved, with a flattened oval cross-section, and strongly flared outward. Incised concentric lines are present at the transition from the neck to the shoulder and on the body, which tapers toward the base. Two loop handles are attached to the sides. The body is spherical, expanded in the upper part; the walls taper toward the flat base with smoothed edges.
