Description

A half-intact bowl of cylindrical shape with straight high sides, made from well-mixed dense light red clay with minor inclusions of fine sand particles and mica. The surface of the vessel, both inside and partially outside, is coated with a light engobe, over which a thin layer of turquoise transparent glaze was applied; there is no ornamentation. The rim is straight, edges thickened, slightly turned outward, with a flattened-oval cross-section. The walls sharply narrow toward the base. The piece is wheel-thrown.
