Description
A piece of leather equipment placed on the eagle’s head, covering both eyes. The hood is used when washing the bird or during rest periods when the eagle is not hunting, helping it remain calm and stationary. The part placed on the head is shaped like a helmet, and there is a protruding section for the beak along the lower front edge. A strap is fastened under the bird’s throat to secure it.
Donated by Burkitbay Faizollauly, a resident of the city of Tekeli.
