A summer windy day in the steppe. The painting is conventionally divided into two parts: on the left side, there is an old well illuminated by light from the right. On the right side, dried branches of a shrub and a green bush sway in the wind, with black birds flying above. These images are in the foreground, with the earth tones being reddish-brown. The background features a vast cloudy sky, creating a sense of unease.
