Medal “60 years of the USSR Armed Forces”

Description

The obverse of the medal features an image of a Soviet Army soldier with a submachine gun against a background of sky-high missiles and flying combat aircraft. To the right of the soldier’s figure, a submarine is depicted on the sea horizon, above which the dates “1918” and “1978” are arranged in two lines. On the reverse side of the medal, the inscriptions are placed around the circumference: “Sixty years” and “Armed Forces of the USSR”, separated by asterisks.
