Description

Chainmail is a protective gear for a warrior against blows and arrows. It consists of small metal rings (chain links) connected together in a dense mesh. These rings are tightly intertwined, forming a solid fabric that completely covers the chest, shoulders, and back. This chainmail provides the warrior with freedom of movement while simultaneously protecting him from cold weapons and arrows. The shape of the armor: rectangular; sleeve length: 21 cm; neck hole diameter: 26 cm. Such armor was used in the Mangistau region until the first half of the 19th century.
