Description

Household item for smoothing out wrinkles in clothes. The forged hollow sole is made of cast iron. It is used by heating and lighting coals inside the iron. A sturdy handle, mounted on a metal cover on the base of the flip opening, is made of wood.
Dating: early 20th century.
