Description

Commemorative medal “20 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945.” The award belonged to I.E. Smolensky. Made of brass, it has a round shape with a diameter of 32 mm. The obverse features a monument to the Soviet liberator soldier (sculptor E.V. Vuchetich, Treptow Park, Berlin) against a backdrop of crossed oak and laurel branches, as well as the dates “1945-1965.” On the reverse side, there is the inscription “Twenty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945,” the Roman numeral “XX,” and a star set against rays. All images and inscriptions are relief-formed, and the edges of the medal are framed with a rim. The medal is attached to a silk moiré ribbon.
