Üzik bau

Description

Üzik bau - a decorative woven band used to adorn the üzik (roof covering) of a yurt. Made using a simple loom technique with the traditional “syngar müzik” (single horn) ornament pattern. The edges of the strip are decorated with tassels made from multicolored woolen threads. Place of production: “Kyzyl Askеr” sovkhoz, Mangystau region. Author: Üsembayeva Bibatpa.
