Description
A water pipe, called a kubur, is made of red clay with sand and mica. This machine-made piece features parallel rings on the outer and inner surfaces, formed on a potter’s wheel. One end of the pipe is narrowed, the other is greatly widened, to allow for joining of the pipes. The outer part of the wide opening bears traces of finger impressions.
