Description
A jug-shaped vessel made from well-kneaded light grey clay, wheel-thrown. The neck is cylindrical and narrowed; the body is globular, expanded at the top, with walls tapering down to a flat, convex base. The vessel is richly decorated from the neck to the lower part of the body with stamped dotted and hatched “herringbone” patterns. At the junction between the neck and shoulder, there is a ridge-like protrusion with incised concentric lines. On the convex part of the body, traces of an attached handle with an oval cross-section are visible.
