Spherocone

Description

A gray clay spherocone. A thick-walled vessel with a very narrow opening in a low neck, decorated with a rim. The body is spherical, the base conical. The piece is massive and heavy. The top of the vessel has eight vertical applied ribs, four large ones with four small ones between them. The center of these ribs is decorated with a stamped dot pattern. The large ribs are 9 cm. long, the small ones from 5 to 6.2 cm. The vessel is severely deformed.
