Pile carpet

Description

Southern Kazakhstan. A central field of rectangular shape with a red background. It is ornamented with four large medallions featuring the “syngarmuis” pattern, with inscribed “samauyrgul” rosettes, consisting of the “sharshy” and “zhuldyzgul” patterns. Between narrow borders are the “ittaban” and “qazmoyin” patterns. A wide border is decorated with the “qoshkarmuis” pattern. Along the length, there is a brown non-pile edge on both sides. In width – a fringe made of basic twisted woolen threads.
