Commemorative Medal

Description

Commemorative medal. A commemorative medal for the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate, issued to I. Saparbay. The obverse features an engraved image of khans and heroes leading a caravan in the center section, with the inscriptions “550 years, 1465-2015” at the bottom. An eagle under the sun is engraved at the top left, and the Latin letters “Qazaq handygy” are engraved on the right. The reverse features the inscriptions “shaңырақ” (literally, “shaңырақ”) at the top, and “Kazakhstan tarikhshylarynynң қauymdastyғy” (literally, “Kazakhstan tarikhshylarynyn” or “Kauymdastyғy”) and “Democratic Party “Ak Zhol” (literally, “Democratic Party of Kazakhstan”) at the bottom. The medal is attached to a hexagonal medallion using a loop-and-ring system. The medallion is covered with a gray ribbon with a dark blue stripe along both edges.
