The jug has a spherical body with an elongated neck. On the sides are circular cut-outs decorated with button-like patterns. The jug is shaped like a bird, classifying it as zoomorphic style.
In the medieval period, such vessels were widely used in everyday life. Before the spread of Islam in the Talas Valley, artisans commonly employed zoomorphic and anthropomorphic styles in decorative and applied arts.
The jug was accidentally discovered in the Zhalpak Tobe area and was added to the museum collection in 1964.
