Figure of a seated man

An anthropomorphic sculpture, the ledge on the back of the head is barely noticeable.
The eyebrows and cheekbones form a single shape, like two convex rings. The straight nose is shaped like a triangular pyramid. The mouth is depicted with a carved line. The face is undefined-the cheeks flow smoothly into the upper torso, the chin juts out sharply. The rounded back is sluggishly modeled. The arms and legs are rendered in relief, bent at the knees. The sole of the right foot is emphasized: it is flattened and has a rounded outline.
Dating: III – II thousand BC, Kostanay region.
Material: inequigranular sandstone
