The Tulvar saber of
the XIX-XX centuries.
The exhibit is a tulwar-type saber, a traditional Indian melee weapon. The blade was curved and expanded towards the tip, which gave the saber a special cutting power. Made by hand from metal. Similar sabers were widely used in India and neighboring regions both in combat and as a symbol of military dignity.
