Kimeshek

Description

A type of headwear characteristic of Kazakh women. Made from white cotton fabric with a triangular cut. The item consists of two layers of fabric. The forehead area, the neckline, and the front part (өңірі) are embroidered with patterns in red, pink, and purple threads.
Dating: 1950s.
Technique: cutting, sewing, embroidery.
Size: back and front part – 71 cm, circumference – 153 cm.
