Description

The object is an official written reply dated 2 October 1950, issued in the settlement of Koschagil in the Kazakh SSR. The document is addressed to Comrade Karabalin, director of a secondary school, and responds to a telegram dated 25 September 1950. The typewritten text states that a newly constructed residential building could not be allocated for use as a school because of the severe shortage of housing for workers and employees of the “Kazakhstanneft” association. It further notes that the construction of a new school in Koschagil would be considered during the preparation of the capital construction plan for 1951. The document bears the handwritten signature of M. Sidorenko, Head of Glavvostokneftedobycha, together with official institutional stamps. The item is an important historical and documentary source reflecting post-war housing shortages, the development of educational infrastructure, and administrative relations between the oil industry and local schools in Western Kazakhstan. The condition is satisfactory, with folds, edge yellowing, and signs of wear; the typewritten text and signature remain clear.
