In order to preserve the historical and
cultural heritage, to record, store and popularize the monuments of material and spiritual culture of the region, to develop folk art and moral education of
youth, on December 13, 2003, the Bukhar-Zhyrau District Museum of History and Local Lore was ceremonially opened, headed by Nabieva Oral Intuovna. As a part
of the state program "Cultural Heritage", the museum reveals the history of the district has a unique fund reflecting historical periods from the XVIII century to the present.
The museum is located in an adapted building with an area of 176.3 sq.m., the exhibition area is 117 sq.m. Bukhar-Zhyraudistrict history and local history museum has the following halls: Hall of historical figures, Hall of the culture and life of the Kazakh people, Hall of
the culture and life of the Slavs, Hall of the development of the Bukhar-Zhyrau district, Hall of the history of the village named after Gabiden Mustafin. Visitors of the museum interested in the history of the district can get acquainted with the fund presented in the
library of the museum's memory folders, as well as on electronic media.
