Description

Egyptian 50 Piastres banknote, dated April 1, 1955. Printed on paper with brown, yellowish-brown, and greenish decorative patterns. The obverse features the “National Bank of Egypt” name, the denomination, and an image of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh. The reverse depicts the Trajan’s Kiosk on Philae Island, a boat on the Nile, and sphinxes. A museum inventory number is attached to the lower right corner.
