The kimeshek is a traditional head covering worn by Kazakh women, typically by mothers or elder women. This particular kimeshek belonged to Tazhibala Akshalkyzy, the mother of renowned Kazakh composer Mukan Tulebayev.
The garment is made from white fabric and shaped in a diamond-like form. It is adorned with red embroidery featuring traditional Kazakh ornamental patterns.
