Medal 20 Years of Victory

Description

«Twenty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War» The medal is round, 32 mm in diameter, and made of brass. On the obverse, the medal depicts the Monument to the Soviet Soldier-Liberator, located in Treptower Park in Berlin (sculptor E. V. Vuchetich). Above the crossed oak and laurel branches is the inscription «1945-1965.» On the reverse, the inscription “Twenty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of «1941-1945» is placed around the circumference. In the center of the medal are the Roman numeral «XX» and a star against a background of radiating rays. The medal is attached by means of a suspension loop and ring to a silk moiré ribbon.
