Combat shovel

Description

Military personnel used this tool during combat to dig trenches and construct defensive fortifications. The shovel blade is rectangular in shape, with a rounded lower edge. The surface shows signs of corrosion resulting from prolonged use and storage. A long wooden handle is attached to the upper part of the metal blade by means of a metal socket. The upper end of the handle is rounded.
