Medal ‘XXX Years of the Red Army and Navy 1918-1948’

Description

Medal “XXX Years of the Soviet Army and Navy 1918-1948” by Sedelnikov L.E. The medal has the shape of a perfect circle. On the front side of the medal – a bust-profile image of V.I. Lenin and I.V. Stalin. At the bottom of the medal – a relief inscription “XXX”. On the reverse side of the medal, there is an inscription around the edge: “IN COMMEMORATION OF THE THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY”, in the center: “SOVIET ARMY AND NAVY” “1918-1948”. The edges of the medal are bordered. All inscriptions and images on the medal are raised. The medal is attached to a pentagonal suspension by a loop and ring, covered with a gray silk moire ribbon. In the middle of the ribbon is a wide red stripe, with narrow red stripes on the edges of the ribbon. On the reverse side of the suspension, there is a pin-type fastening.
