Description

The object is the medal For Valiant Labour in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, which belonged to Buǵytai Aiserkenov, a prominent educator and veteran of the Great Patriotic War.

The medal was established by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated June 6, 1945, to honor citizens who made a significant contribution to Victory through their selfless labor on the home front during the Great Patriotic War. The medal is preserved together with its certificate.

The medal is round in shape and made of gold-colored metal. The obverse features a relief portrait of V. I. Lenin. The inscription “Za doblestnyy trud” [For Valiant Labour] is placed in the upper part, while “V Velikoy Otechestvennoy voyne 1941-1945 gg.”[In the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945] appears in the lower part. The reverse bears the name of the award and corresponding inscriptions. The medal is attached to a pentagonal suspension block with a black-and-orange ribbon.

The medal has historical and memorial value as evidence of the selfless labor of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War, reflecting the importance of service to the Motherland and the fulfillment of civic duty.
