Description

Shyngdauyl is a traditional percussion instrument of the Kazakh people.
It was used during wartime to signal and also during hunting.
It is a type of dauylpaz (war drum).
Its shape resembles a cauldron.
A leather strap is attached for convenient handling. The top is covered with animal hide.
It is played by striking the surface with a whip or stick.
