Jubilee Medal with certificate

Description

Commemorative medal “70 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR.” Made of metal, it has a round shape with a diameter of 32 mm. On the obverse, there are profile bas-relief images of a pilot, a sailor, and a soldier, a laurel wreath, and a star with a sickle and hammer. At the bottom, the dates “1918” and “1988” are indicated. On the reverse side, there is the inscription “70 YEARS OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE USSR” and an image of a laurel-oak wreath. All elements are rendered in bas-relief and surrounded by a rim. The medal is attached to a red silk moiré ribbon. The award was given to the veteran of the Great Patriotic War I.E. Smolensky.
