Stone Sculpture (Balbal Stone)

Description

The stone statue (balbal) was accidentally discovered at the historical site “Aktobe Burial Ground,” located within the city of Shardara. The head of the statue features a carved image of a headgear. On its chest, there is a specially carved pointed quadrangular symbol.
Date: 7th – 8th centuries.
Materials: stone.
Technique: carved from stone.
Dimensions: 69x26x13 cm.
