Button

Description

A small chest ornament with a jingling element inside, also used to fasten the front part of clothing. In some cases, it served as an amulet-button. Silver buttons were made by pouring molten silver into molds of various shapes, filling the back with lead, attaching a shank for sewing, darkening with enamel paints, and forming them in a hemispherical shape. Handmade.
