Description

Taqyr carpet is a woven item decorated with colorful ornaments, used both for aesthetic purposes and to maintain warmth and reduce noise in the home. The taqyr carpet is woven tightly on a single warp, double-sided. According to the weaving technique, carpets are divided into pile (қалы кілем) and flat (тақыр кілем) types, while by local ornamental patterns, they are known as Aday and Qongyrat carpets.
