The exhibit consists of a wall-mounted “TYAKh-B” telephone set and a separate external call-bell unit. The bodies of both the telephone and the bell housing are made of durable dark-colored plastic. The front panel features a rotary dial numbered from 0 to 9, while the telephone handset is mounted on the left side of the housing. The external unit contains a metal bell designed to provide an audible signal for an incoming call. Metal fittings are provided on the rear of the main unit for wall mounting. The object is a representative example of Soviet telecommunications equipment of the 1970s and reflects the development of fixed-line communication technology.
