Painting “Eki dúnie. Ómir men ólim”

Description

In this artwork, although it may seem impossible to depict the wholeness of the world and the harmony of opposites, the artist has managed to convey it in this way. Inside the circle placed against a black background are the sky and the earth, light and darkness, life and death, the spiritual and the material. The upper part of the circle is painted in shades of blue, yellow, and red, symbolizing the sky and light, while the lower part, in brown and green tones, represents the earth and nature. The inner forms resemble opposing drops: one directed upwards and the other downwards, expressing endless motion and continuous circulation. Thus, although it may seem impossible for the human eye to perceive the invisible harmony, the artist embodies it through symbols, assigning cosmic meaning to a simple circle. Author: Zh. Abylanova
