Üzik bau

Description

Üzik bau - a decorative woven strip used to adorn the top covering (üzik) of a yurt. Made from dyed wool using a pile weaving technique. The main design features diamond-shaped patterns bordered by traditional “baldak” and “synar muiiz” (horn-shaped) motifs. The remaining space is decorated with floral and leaf-like patterns. One end of the strip includes the name “Asylbek” woven into it.
