Description

Abai’s father, the volost ruler Kunanbai, is depicted in winter clothing. In this bust-length portrait, he is wearing a blue winter robe with a distinctive orange fur collar.
On his head he wears a green malakhai (traditional hat) trimmed with fur. He has a triangular-shaped beard. He is shown with one eye missing.
