Description

Stone with the Talas I (T1) Inscription. An ancient Turkic text consisting of four lines is engraved on the surface of the stone. The inscription was made using the engraving technique. It was discovered 8 km southeast of the city of Talas, at a locality called Ayr-Tam-Oy (Kyryk-Kazyk), in the territory of the former Aulie-Ata district, near the Dmitrievskoye settlement. Discovered by V. A. Kallaur and Gastev. The inscription was studied by G. Heikel, V. V. Radlov, J. Nemeth, S. E. Malov, H. N. Orkhon, I. A. Batmanov, Ch. Zhumagulov, A. S. Amanzholov, and other researchers.
