Description

One of the traditional bowed string instruments of the Uyghur people. The instrument is made of wood, and its body has a multi-faceted, octagonal shape. The top deck retains the natural wood hue and is adorned with a semi-moon resonator hole in the center. Additionally, the surface of the deck features small floral decorative patterns.
The neck is short, the fingerboard is covered with black material and divided by thin frets. At the top, there are several tuning pegs designed for tensioning and adjusting the strings. The bridge and strings create the instrument’s sound, giving it a characteristic timbral expressiveness.
