Description

The amulet consists of a rectangular silver case made of 925 sterling silver. Two oval carnelian inserts are prominently set in relief on the central section of the case. The surface is decorated with circular motifs and diagonal geometric ornaments arranged into a balanced decorative composition. The edges are finished with granulation forming an ornamental border that emphasizes the amulet-like character of the object. The combination of silver, relief decoration, granulation, and carnelian inserts demonstrates the refined techniques of traditional jewellery production. The object possesses significant historical, ethnographic, and artistic value as an example of 19th-century protective jewellery associated with traditional beliefs in the safeguarding function of amulets.
