The Bird’s Beak ring

Kostanay Regional Museum of Local Lore

The cast is oval in shape, pointed at the end, hollow. A small stone is placed inside.
The cast is decorated with a relief pattern, formed by an overlay of ink and grain. Thin corded scanned patterns in the form of a braided pigtail run along the front and side surfaces of the cast. The center of the front surface features scrolls with granulation. The lower part of the bezel is decorated with rectangles with small granulation spheres. The shank widens at the ends and is decorated with spiral filigree rosettes and granulation.
Dating: “Early 20th century”.
Material: Silver.
