Carpet “Arabs”

Description

Kyzylorda region. A central rectangular field of red color, ornamented with alternating wide stripes featuring stepped patterns of “alabas”. They are arranged in pairs and connected by narrow strips. Three wide stripes with “ормекші” patterns. Narrow stripes with “қазмойын”, “алақұрт”, “балықкөз” patterns. A border along the length with “шаршы”, “керегекөз” patterns in red, yellow, green, and white colors. A brown edging around the edge of the carpet. Across its width – fringe made of twisted wool yarns.
