Description

An antique metal vessel made of copper or bronze. It is a traditional jug used in Central Asia. Such vessels were used for storing and bottling water and milk.
Shape: wide, rounded body with fluted horizontal stripes on the entire surface, tapering to the neck.
Neck: relatively narrow, with an extension at the top - convenient for pouring.
Handle: one massive handle attached to the back, probably forged.
Material: it looks like copper or bronze, with a distinctive golden-brown sheen.
Base: wide, stable bottom.
Such vessels are called “dune”, “jug”, “ibrik” or “cast iron”, depending on the region.

Condition

The jug has no visible cracks, chips or significant deformations. The handle is firmly attached. Shape: the original shape is completely preserved - the jug is not bent or skewed. Scuffs and scratches: there are, especially on the bottom and near the handle - this is typical for items with a long service life. Oxidation: slight signs of patination (greenish or dark coating), which is typical for copper and bronze over time.
