Description
Narqobyz is an ancient string instrument of the Kazakh people. It is carved entirely from dark-colored wood, with a round resonating body and a short neck. The two strings are made from camel hair, and the lower part of the body is covered with animal skin. It is played using a friction bow. Metal pendants are attached to the body, producing additional sound effects during play. The instrument has two tuning pegs for adjusting the strings.
