6th-9th centuries AD
A monument in the form of a human figure carved from stone, common during the ancient Turkic period. Found throughout all regions of the Kazakh steppe. The earliest balbals date back to the ancient Saka era, although researchers attribute their widespread cultural development to the Turkic period.
It is carved in the shape of a standing man from a large rectangular stone. On the front side of the stone is a carving of a face of Mongolian origin - a mustached man with closed eyes.
Brought from the village of Lugovoe, Kerbulak District, Zhetysu region.
Height - 200 cm, width - 34 cm, thickness - 30 cm.
